[ÚŠ] Introduction to Engineer Study

Main objectives of the course:

Student after the course will understand the basic principles of informatics and ethical using of information technologies as well. The student will recognise possible risks and will support responsible applying of the ethical codex in his professional carrier. The student will know how to use a computer for information searching on the Internet, to calculate with spreadsheets, prepare a document, use databases, and prepare presentations.

The sum of lab and exam points gives the result of the course.
The student may enrol the exam if he has at minimum 49 points from tests, 35 points from a group task, and at least 84 points together.
To enroll for an exam student must have 84 points.

Course scheme:
The course introduces students to studies at the Faculty of Management Sciences and Informatics. It presents the fundamental ideas of informatics in their historical context. External lecturers bring an outside view to applications and needs of the employers. In laboratories, the students obtain abilities to fulfil ECDL standards.
