The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of the architecture of the web applicationViRo v3 and the implementation of the server part of this tool. The ViRo version 3application itself is intended to provide the functionality of a virtual laboratory and to serveprimarily for teachers and students at Faculty of Management Science and Informatics atUniversity of Zilina in order to facilitate the teaching and study process at the Departmentof Information Networks. The benefit of this application is the simplification of access tovirtualized network devices with the possibility of supporting devices from multiple vendorsand independence from virtualization tools. The diploma thesis consists of four parts. Thefirst part deals with the analysis of existing solutions for virtual laboratories, focusing ontheir disadvantages and analysis of available technologies for the development of webapplications for virtual laboratories. The second part deals with the methodology fordesigning the architecture and creating the server part of the web application, whichdescribes the design procedures needed to meet the goal. In the third part of the work, wefocused on gathering the requirements for the functionality of the virtual laboratory and thedesign of the ViRo v3 application itself. The fourth part contains a description of theimplementation of the proposed solution with a focus on security, authorization andauthentication of the application.
