Professional qualification level: Bachelor’s degree. – Žilina FRI ŽU, 2021. – 62 pages.The aim of this work is to test and compare currently available specified simulators of computer networks similar to GNS3 and their supported devices. Individual solutions are tested and analyzed with respect to already determined criteria. The result of the testing may be important when selecting a specific simulator for teaching at KIS. The work describes the installation, hardware requirements and overall advantages and disadvantages of the simulators themselves. Individual simulators are tested in the Ubuntu 18.04 operating system environment. The results of the given parameters are helpful in the potential use and deployment of the given simulator at the KIS FRI.Key words: simulator, emulator, Cisco, computer networks, Juniper
