The aim of this Bachelor thesis is implementation of an e-mail system based on SMTP and IMAP protocols. Theoretical part of this thesis describes e-mail in general and acquaints the reader with SMTP, IMAP, LDAP protocols, directory service Active Directory and software solutions such as Postfix and Dovecot. The practical part describes the software used, its installation, configuration and shows the exact process of deploying an e-mail system using the above-mentioned protocols, software solutions and graphical user interface named Rainloop.
