Course outcomes:
The student uses specific vocabulary in thematic areas according to the field of study.
The student is able to apply relevant vocabulary in oral and written communication in work and academic settings. Recognizes the language structures learned in videos used to depict practical situations or crisis situations in a business or manufacturing company. Using cues from the videos, discusses the situations, problems, and technologies presented. Compares existing situations/technologies and describes possible solutions for the future.
Understands technical texts related to his/her field of study and can summarise their substance and identify key information. Applies the ability to argue in a foreign language in the production of a professional presentation at least at the B2+ level of the professional language. The student is able to analyze professional information, confront it with each other, and use his/her professional vocabulary to summarise it seamlessly, following the principles of correct citation and paraphrasing of the sources used in the foreign language. The student describes his/her own research and compares it with an existing situation/problem/solution in the present and formulates his/her own conclusions in a foreign language. Works constructively with other students in small and large groups.
