Course outcomes:
The student actively uses vocabulary in subject areas according to the field of study.
The student is able to apply the relevant vocabulary in oral and written communication in the work and academic environment. Recognizes the language structures learned in videos used to depict practical situations or crisis situations in business and manufacturing companies. Using cues from the videos, discusses the situations, problems, and technologies presented. Compares existing situations/technologies and describes possible solutions for the future.
Understands professional texts related to his/her field of study, can describe and summarise their essence, identify key information and then paraphrase it. Applies the ability to argue in a foreign language in the production of a professional presentation at least at the B2+ level of the professional language. Works constructively with other students in small and large groups.
