Žilina: FRI ŽU in Žilina,2017. – 58 p.The goal of the bachelor’s thesis it is to gain knowledge and experience about the Linux operating system and its implementation in a computer network as a firewall and NAT. The theoretical part describes the basic characteristics of the network subsystem of the Linux operating system and its administration, elementary configure network interfaces and other tools for diagnosing network connectivity. The practical part describes the deployment of Linux as a firewall in the computer network and management of such a firewall. It will be also deployed advanced features of link connectivity of OS Linux.Key words: OS Linux, network subsystem, LACP, VLAN, bridging, firewall, stateful, stateless, NAT.
