Web portál Katedry informačných sietí nad CMS WordPress

The goal of this bachelor thesis is design and implementation of modern web portal of Department of information networks using CMS WordPress system and subsequent migration of appropriate content from the old web portal, which uses the older solution of content management, CMS Joomla! 2,5. In the introductory, theoretical part I explain what content management systems are, why CMS WordPress is so popular, how it works and how you can manage website content via this system. In the part of analysis, I focus on reviewing the current web portal solution, collecting requirements from department employees and subsequent prioritization of theses requirements. In the part of proposal, I focus on creating a suitable layout for individual parts of the page. In the implementation part I write about selecting plugins for CMS WordPress that could be used for the given requirements and programming functions and modules, which for various reasons cannot be replaced with preprogrammed plugins. Also I describe process of assembling the page using these modules.
